Today, this 17th week of this cycle of #MindsetMonday we will be exploring #MindsetMonday, “Why don’t I see the same results as everyone else?  This is an important one so pay close attention!

Of course, we have all experienced moments in life when we have watched other people getting the results that we want for ourselves while we struggle to make strides.  The reality, however, is that we are all different and, quite frankly, we’ve have treated our bodies differently over time. It can take one person longer than another to receive results for a multitude of reasons.

Would you like to know one of those reasons?  It is all about how much damage you have created that has to be repaired within the body.  Dr. Eric Burg, says that you have to get healthy before you begin to see results. What does this look like?  Well if you have built up a fatty liver, this has to be corrected through diet and exercise before the liver can do its job effectively and efficiently.

If your liver isn’t functioning properly it can result in difficulty losing fat?  Why is that? According to Medical News Today, one of the functions of the liver is bile production.  Bile helps the small intestine to break down and absorb fats, cholesterol, and some vitamins. It’s easy to see how a liver that is not functioning properly could hinder results.

In addition, the liver is responsible for things like fat metabolization and breaking down carbohydrates.   So, If you don’t see results right away and yet you are doing all of the things necessary to see gains, know that your body is repairing the damage that’s been done over the years. Stay on track and you too will see the results you are looking for… it just may take a little longer than someone with less damage.

With that said, my question to you is this.  Why compare yourself with anyone else? As Dr. Seuss says, “Today you are you, that is truer than true.  There is no one alive that is youer than you!” Focus your attention on you, appreciate where you are on your journey.  The things that take time are the things that mean the most in your life. “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”  (Dr. Seuss) Cherish each moment of progress, it’s your progress and no one else’s. It is your story.

Change It Today
  1. Replace this thinking with this new thought, “You’re off to great places!  Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!
Think It and Say It
  • Today is the day I experience change.
  • I control my future!
  • I value the effort rather than the time!
  • I expect a positive change to my health and wellness.
  • If things are not happening I won’t worry, or stew, I’ll keep going along til’ I see results too!
Power Thought For Today
I value the process!
